Greetings!

We pray that the blessings of the Lord are with you today! God's grace has been with us and we are ever grateful to Him for His protection, direction and anointing. We are writing to inform you of recent ministry and to request your prayers for this nation.

It has been a long, long time since we've used this e-mail form of communication with most of you. I've encountered so many problems with addresses being undeliverable or changed that it became an ordeal just to send out the Updates. I hope this one will get through to most of you. Please let me know if you receive this Update. I would like to know that they are getting through in a legible format.

Recent Ministry Opportunities

Our recent newsletter has informed you of many of the doors that God has opened for us in ministry. We are thrilled to respond to the call of the Lord and it is always exciting to investigate new opportunities.

I recently spent two weeks in Guatemala helping in ministry and work there. I had the official "job" of translating for 19 other Americans in ministry, manual labor situations, and just all around contact with the nationals. I was happy to be able to visit EDEVAN (Spanish acronym for School of Evangelism), a Bible Institute that trains ministers for Latin America. Working with a groups from Ozark Bible Institute here in Venezuela has been a rewarding experience in the past and this time it was once again a blessing to work with them in the OBI/Guatemala project.

Panama Ministry : Naso Indians

Two short weeks after the Guatemala trip, I was able to return to Panama to the jungle to visit the Naso Indian to which God led Bro. Bill Watson and me in December 2004 and February 2005. God has continued to work in their lives, and several more made open commitments to serve the Lord. On this trip I had the privilege of Bro. Joe Barraclough's presence as we ministered together day after day. It has been refreshing to see the hand of the Lord effecting changes in people's lives.

We have left behind a group of believers who have banded together with the intention of forming a church. While there is no pastor at this time, we know that God is able to build His Church so that even the gates of Hell cannot prevail against it! They desire to be part of the Body of Christ, I know HE desires them to be that also. Please pray that God will establish His church among these people.

Venezuelan Needs

Finally, we desire your prayers for matters concerning our work and ministry in Venezuela. Current Venezuelan/USA conflict is at an all-time high. Then, with the recent remarks by a famous American televangelist promoting the assassination of the Venezuelan president, this has suddenly, without precedent, placed US Missionaries under great pressure. The local government here has suspended missionary visas for future applicants and also they are planning to investigate current christian workers already here. I cannot tell you how critical it is that you pray. There are more things that I cannot share with you at this time, but we urge you to pray for special guidance and protection from God.

Pray For:

- Venezuela's deteriorating situation
- Bro. Jason and Sis. Vickie Pennington now in Language School studies
- Bro. Joe and Sis. Judith Barraclough as they itinerate and prepare for a return to Venezuela
