Asian Trinity Holiness Church

Greetings to all of you in the name of Jesus our Lord!  (May 17, 2005)                            Things are going well here in Taiwan.  God has blessed us, and the Trinity Holiness Church!  There are always ups and downs in the ministry and the work God calls us to do, but He is always faithful to meet us at every turn and every decision. We have decided to go ahead and stay in the same building we have been in for another year... we looked for a new place but couldn't find anything cheap enough.  We have some of our people that are in the states studying or will be going soon.  Others will be going home for the summer to other cities for summer break, so this summer our church will be somewhat low on people, but God knows and is able to bring growth!  This past Sunday morning the Holy Ghost fell in such powerful way in the service.  I had not originally planned to preach in Chinese, since I usually use an interpreter (it is much easier!) but as I got up to preach I felt the anointing so strong as I began to speak and preached the sermon in Chinese... thank God for His grace!  I'm still in language school and it is going well.  Soon I will be able to put conversational Chinese behind me and start learning biblical vocabulary.  Chinese is such a complex language it takes up to 10 years of study to learn well.  But God knows all languages and He is defintely helping me with this one!  The church here has been moving slow but sure lately, our Sunday school children which were from some very terrible disfunctional homes, they recently just all of a sudden stopped coming.  They had been coming for a long time and then we haven't seen any of them for some time.  Pray for our Sunday school that it will grow again.  The adults in the church, we have seen growth in them and a deeper walk with the Lord beginning to spring forth in their lives.  Many of them have begun to accept holiness as a way of life and are trying to live up to how God's Word teaches us to live.

(Just to share with you normal exciting life in Taiwan!)

Temperatures here are rising as summer arrives, spring rains have brought extreme humidity and... anything and everything seems to mold everywhere!  Even my shoes molded, I had to ride home on my motor scooter in the pouring rain and the next day my leather shoes were molded...clothes that are hanging on the line will begin to smell like mildew and will mold if the sun doesn't shine long enough to dry them out!  The heat also brings bugs and worms and whatever else can hatch...  one morning I woke up to find all through my kitchen and on the towel that my clean cups were drying on... baby maggots had hatched all over the place... moisture is a wonderful place for all kinds of creatures to live in! Life is wonderful!  I love it... Never, ever would I regret doing the work that God called me to do.  One time one of our great Holiness preachers handed me a preaching tape, it was a message called, "A burden or a priviledge"  The message talked about how it should be a priviledge to work for God and not a burden... I feel like I can truly say that what God has called me to do is a priviledge to me and I want to do His perfect will!  There is nothing like seeing souls saved sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost that have never heard before about Jesus Christ!

Another piece of good news!

A pastor from South Korea called me and says he is the leader in Korea of the "Bible Holiness" movement.  He learned about us here in Taiwan from the Holiness Messenger website and from the Free Gospel Bible Institute website.  He asked me to come and teach holiness to their people in Korea.  So, if the Lord wills it, in September this year I plan to fly to South Korea and minister to a whole new step for Asian Trinity Holiness Missions...as we begin to try to reach more that just Taiwan with the message of God's holiness for His people!  Another possible trip is again this fall to Green Island the island we have visited many times before, passing out tracts and doing a children's crusade.  Pray for us that if it is possible we would like to go again and see what we can do.  There is no Christian faith on the Island anywhwere.  There is an empty church building there that used to be, but is no more.  Pray for me and for our work here in Asia!  God is good and His word edures forever!

Lord willing I will be flying to the states this summer for about 6 weeks.  I plan to arrive around June 26th and will return to Taiwan on August 5th.  I will travel to several churches during that time.  If you'd like for me to come to your church you may e-mail me or contact me via phone.  Please pray for me and the work here in Asia!  I want to thank all of you for your support in prayer and in finances as I work the work that God has called me to do!

I want to give a special thanks to The Gospel Defenders church of Merced, California and Bro. Steve Driscoll's family... family of the late Bro. Matt Driscoll who purchased my airline ticket round trip home for this summer!  It is a definite answer to prayer and a great need that has been met!  Thanks to you all and may God richly bless you all!

 In Christ,
