Missionary Exploits to Mexico, Panama and the San Blas Islands

I Peter 1:25 "But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the Gospel is preached unto you.

Greetings to the saints of like precious faith. Many things have transpired since our last report. We hope this finds you all well, and hope you are making plans to attend some of the campmeetings through out the summer. We realize summer is a busy time with family vacations planned, but one never takes a "vacation" from the work of God. As we mentioned in our last writing, the Mexican board requested 12 revival meetings by the American board and other ministers from the United States. So we, the board, are following through with our commitment. Five revivals have already been held. Other ministers in the U.S.A. have volunteered to help fulfill this commitment as we are only a six man board. Some of the works visited already this year said they had not had an American evangelist visit them in 15 years. God is moving in these meetings as is evidenced by the reports we have thus far.

Report by Brother Neil Bridges
While in Mexico we visited two churches and felt the power of God in each service. We went first to Bro. Leopoldo's in Victoria and on to the church in Salamanca. In the last service Sis. Joann had an experience like she'd never had before. She and a Mexican sister were praying together as the power of God was moving in the altar service. As they spoke in tongues, this dear Mexican lady, who knew no English, turned and began to speak to Sis. Joann in perfect English. She told her that Jesus not only knew her name, but He also knew all the troubles she was going through. She said Sis. Joann could ask Jesus and He would take it the Father. Thank God for the power of the living God who continues to work in our lives today! For years now we have seen a great need for a church, Bible School and Children's Home in Panama. After praying three years about this need, God has blessed us to find two lots of land in the Tocumen area. We purchased this on our last visit and! have borrowed some money for the purchase. This piece of property is in an area where a holiness church is needed in a great way and we anticipate reaching out to others far and near through the Bible School and the Children's Home. For about $10,000 we can prepare the property to begin services in a tent. We want to begin work on the building just as soon as possible. We know that this can be accomplished with your faithful prayers and support.

Bro. Jeremy Brooks and I went to Matamoros in March for a three day, section-wide revival. The meetings were very well attended by the neighboring churches, and the services were blessed with the wonderful presence of God. Several souls were seeking God for salvation, and others received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, including one former drug addict. The pastors were all refreshed and encouraged and were already asking when the next visit could be planned.

Report by Brother Don Rich
On April 2nd Bro. Jeremy Brooks and myself conducted a series of services in churches established by Sis. Gail Myers in Mexico. We visited Sister Myers in the assisted living center where she now resides. She is doing well in body, gaining strength as she receives a balanced diet at the center. She still needs your prayers. At Bro. Reuben Ramirez' church in Balboa, we had a good service with overflow crowds from the San Carlos area. Several pastors attended the service and were encouraged by our presence and ministry. Although hindered somewhat by rain at Bro. Juan and Sis. Rebecca Cepeda's church, Fuerte de Portes, we still had a nice crowd with many souls coming forward for salvation. Sunday night we had a great outdoor service on the Plaza where the crowd was large. At the invitation, at least 38 souls were at the altar for salvation. We give God all the Praise! Also in Victoria at a church named The Door of Salvation where Bro. and Sis. Cepeda pastor we conducted 2 wonderful services and ministered on the radio program. God met with us in a special way with souls seeking the Lord for salvation and other needs. God's presence was very near to us in the 2 services at The Tabernacle where Bro. Leopoldo Ramirez pastors. One night especially, the altar service was great as hungry souls reached for God. I preached a strong Holiness message, and God confirmed His Word with souls responding to the message. I was also privileged to minister at the Sectional Youth Camp where about 250 attended. Once again, God blessed as the youth responded.

As you can see the interest of the saints in the states continues to be strong in this great work. Even though Sis. Myers is no longer able to visit the works as she would want to do, the leaders of the works are seeking reassurance that we will continue to stand with them in faith and support as they continue to reach souls. The brethren have visited Sis. Gail when going to Mexico. We are staying in constant contact with the administration of the assisted living center and her personal physician who assure us that for now she must continue to have 24 hour professional care. Thank you for all the wonderful cards and notes of encouragement expressing your love.

At the time of this writing, Bro. Albarino Franklin (aka "Bro. Frankie"), is visiting Oklahoma and Kentucky, and would like to send special greetings. Thank you for this opportunity. The American brothers help us in Panama and Columbia. I visited Sis. Toti in Columbia in April. We have five churches there that are growing. More people are getting saved and coming into the church. We are rebuilding the church at Isla de Maquina that was destroyed in a storm. Thanks to all who helped on this. Don't forget we need prayer. Even though we miss Sis. Gail, we are still going on.

We, the board, are grateful for all the faithful support; however, we are only able to meet the monthly love offerings for the pastors in Mexico, Panama and Columbia. We have not been able to begin any new construction projects. If any churches and/or individuals would like to take on a special construction project, please notify us. Only time and eternity will reveal the true impact that your faithfulness to God, by your support of this ministry, has had through the ages. Bro. Rich adds: The great work that Sister Gail Myers founded continues on as various ministers from the United States co-operate in revival and special meetings. The Mission is still in need of your continued prayers and support, for this work must continue.

Revelation 21:7 "He that overcometh shall inherit all things."

In His Service,

Bro. Don Rich, Bro. Neil Bridges, Bro. John David Long, Bro. Ben Shaw, Bro. Darrell Toliver, and Bro. Gary Edenfield
