People on boat

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus. Oh, how sweet to know our precious Savior, and to have the privilege to introduce Him to others. I Thessalonians 3:12-13 "And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints". Surely, His coming is near at hand. Sis. Gail is doing well at the assisted living center and sends her love and greetings to you all. Revival is happening in Mexico and Panama.

Bro. Jeremy Brooks writes: It was my distinct privilege to visit the Rio Bravo Section at the invitation of Bro. Ignacio Morales on September 14-18. A service was scheduled each night in a different church in the section in order to take full advantage of the visit. I'm pleased to report that the services were blessed with a visitation of the Holy Ghost in each place. Most of the altar services were filled with people crying out to the Lord for a closer walk with Him in holiness and Holy Ghost victory. In one service, the young people were especially moved and began to seek the Lord for the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Special thanks on my behalf to the board of directors for their permission to preach among the churches of Holiness Full Gospel Missions. May God continue to bless the work started by Sis. Gail Myers over 50 years ago!

Sis. Peggy Craft of Victory Tabernacle Holiness Church in Watauga, Texas where Bro. Michael Switzer pastors writes: What a wonderful time we had in Victoria, Mexico! The majority of our group had never been on a Mission trip before so this was a very new experience for us. Bro. Leopoldo Ramirez welcomed us and made us feel right at home. That first night we wondered if we would be received well helping in the altars. There was a language barrier, we didn't know each other and what problems one another faced ... would they accept us? We didn't have to wait long for the answer. One of the girls that I had been praying with reached over and took my hand and we cried and prayed together. The language barrier was broken by the love of God. One of my favorite services was a surprise to all of us. As Bro. Michael began to preach Sis. Tonya took our group outside and told us that we were to take part by illustrating the Upper Room church. At the designated time we m! ade our way up the front of the church and into a smaller room to the side of the platform. It seemed that the minute we walked in and began to praise the Lord the Holy Ghost fell in our room. We were lost in the presence of the Lord and still speaking in tongues even after the altar call was given and most had finished praying.

What a wonderful blessing! I don't know when I had ever felt closer to heaven than that night. Our last day in Mexico we went through the slums of Reynosa. I have seen pictures of how impoverished the land is but nothing prepares you for actually seeing first hand the pitiful state of their living conditions. Cardboard homes ... who could believe it unless you saw it for yourself? As we were leaving we stopped near a mother who was sitting outside in the 104 degree heat with her infant and small children. My friend, Candace Brooks, gave the mother a handheld fan to help cool off her baby. You would have thought she had given her the world with the s! mile that came across her face. I had cookies and despite their sad co ndition the little children didn't grab handfuls but very timidly took only two at a time. Right then and there my heart melted and I wished that I had more to give. I would have taken care of everyone there if I had been able to. We left after just a moment but that memory will stay with me forever. We learned so many things from our trip. For one, we don't acknowledge the privilege of going to Church in our air conditioned buildings and padded seats enough. Most of the Victoria church walked and still they all found the energy to stand through all of the singing to worship the Savior. I drive to church and after standing for just a while my feet hurt and I want to sit down. I have become more aware of how blessed I am to know this way of life and my desire to do more for Him has only increased. We are miles away from Victoria now but I don't doubt that we all still think of the people and our adventure from time to time. Bro. Leopoldo extended an invitation for us to come ! back again next year and I can't wait!

Bro. Tommy Toliver of Bethany Holiness Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, writes: Bro. Floyd Parks, Bro. Dan Roberts and myself have just returned from our trip to Panama and the San Blas Islands. We were privileged to be in several services, not only on the Islands, but also in Panama. We had service at one of the Cuna brother’s house. We had two services a day on the island of Big Orange where 17 souls were saved. Praise God! Bro. Orville Cottrell sent money to repair the floor in the church on Big Orange. We also went to the island of Saladad Mirya. There is no church there, but the chief wants a church built. About 800 people live on this island. I believe over 1/2 of the people came out to the service that night in which Bro. Frankie preached on "The Prodigal Son". Pray that the Lord will make it possible to build a church there. Note the picture where the children gathered around me as I read the Bible.

We were also able to buy another boat motor. Thanks to the Sandy Bottom Church where Bro. Buzzy Deane pastors in Virginia and the Bethany Holiness Church Young Adult Sunday School class. The native pastors all agreed that Bro. Andres should have this new motor. About 8 more motors which cost $1,650.00 each are needed for the pastors. Please pray about this need. If you would like to give toward a motor, please mark your offering. Also, the American brothers did some work in Sis. Aminta’s new kitchen building some more cabinets.

We appreciate those with a vision and a burden to see this great work of God continue to grow. May God richly bless everyone for the faithful support both financially and in prayer.

In His Service,

Bro. Don Rich, Bro. Neil Bridges, Bro. John David Long, Bro. Ben Shaw, Bro. Darrell Toliver and Bro. Gary Edenfield
