TRINITY HOLINESS CHURCH
What a beautiful and busy summer we have had in Little Rock. God has encouraged us with some great outreach and fellowship activities. In June we got to head to Indiana to preach at the Shady Springs Camp. It was great to see all of our Hoosier friends. In July we were able to be with Anthony Howard’s church in Batesville Arkansas for a Youth Revival. All through the summer we had beautiful weather for our Saturday visitation. God has blessed us with several hard workers that love door to door visitation. Sister Jo Atwood, Sister Janet Atwood as well as others have been so faithful to be there every time we go out to work the fields. In September we saw one of our dreams come true. We have been wanting to use our location in the center of the state of Arkansas to be a place of fellowship for the youth of our state. On September 18th we had young people from Batesville, Russellville, Conway, Memphis, Texarkana, and other areas came together for a time of fun and fellowship. It was great to see all those young people laughing and having a great time. Even us “old men” got out there and tried to act young again. We had around 70 enjoy this time of Holiness fellowship. A special thank you to Pastor Adam’s, Scrogham, Horton and Brother Randal Wilson for all your help. Let’s do it again. (As soon as the soreness leaves.)
In October we launched operation Kid’s Fair. Last April I heard our local radio station advertising a gathering at the Expo Center for kids. So we rented our booth, printed flyers, practiced puppet shows and decided to see if Gideon,Moses and Isaac could compete with Spiderman, Hulk Hogan and Scooby Doo. We set up our stage and were ready for the test. All day long we labored for an audience. We held 3-4 shows an hour. At the end of the day we counted between 650 and 700 children had decided Gideon, Moses and Isaac beat Spiderman and Scooby Doo. Hulk Hogan’s plane was late and he was almost a no show. It was great to see the children intently listening to old truths in the midst of all that “new” noise. We passed out over 1,000 church flyers and tracts. One insurance agent came over during the day and said to me, “ I had to come over here and see what was drawing these crowds!!!” I am not ashamed of the Gospel. Thank God for victory agai! nst Hulk, Spidey and Scooby. (Not to mention the devil.)
I must thank the churches that stand with us every month. Brother Lloyd Shuecraft, Brother Chad Hardin, Brother Keith Thompson, Brother Gerald Livingston, and our home church Calvary Holiness Church are there every month, so faithfully supporting us. You will never know how you have encouraged us this past year.
