Greetings from the home of the Clinton Library. I know you all are making plans to visit this museum of mayhem. Well unlike politics the Lord is good! We are about to celebrate our second anniversary here in Arkansas. The first weekend in September will mark 2 years that a Trinitarian, Holiness, Pentecostal message found a beach head in Little Rock. We have fought our battles and by the Grace of God we are still here. It has been some time since I updated you on the happenings here. We started the year with the wild man from Granite City, Dennis Heath. He really preached and prayed the week he was with us. Sister Heath really blessed the church with her playing and singing. Easter week Randal Wilson and his family came by for another week of challenging the church to be more and do more.
On April 9 we had our second Youth Fellowship. Young people from several churches came together for a great day of fun and food. While we were all together we wished Stephen a Happy 18th Birthday and Ashley a Happy 16th Birthday. Look out she has a car and license. On Father’s Day weekend we left the church on the faithful hands of Brian Duke and went home to Ohio/Indiana/Kentucky for the first time in too long. We celebrated Stephen’s graduation from High School. We were privileged to be at our home church, Calvary Holiness Church, for Father’s Day. It was great to see the people that have been so faithful to pray and support us here. We made it home just in time for Russellville youth camp. On Tuesday night Stephen was driving home from camp and someone lost something in the road. He swerved to miss it and ended up in the median after flipping his car completely over. He walked away with a 2 inch scratch on his finger. We are thankful to God for sparing us a great heartache.
August 20th we are participating in Little Rock’s second annual Kid’s Fair. We will have a booth presenting the gospel through puppet shows and tracts. We are expecting 5000 families. Each family will be greeted at the door with a bag of goodies from some of the vendors at the show. In each of those bags will be one of our church flyers with the plan of salvation inside. Pray for our outreach efforts to reach this city for God. We are asking churches everywhere to mark that day on their calendars and pray for liberty for our workers.
Prayerfully yours,
Pastor Roger Peyton
